Review:

Whilst WWE has released a seemingly endless stream of Steve Austin related DVDs over the years, this is it. This is the complete package. This will be neither a long or particularly in depth review as what I have to say, is simple and short; BUY THIS DVD!

This DVD has no biography so to speak, but this is more of a plus-point than a criticism. You see, Steve Austin is here to talk you through his career and does so in such an interesting and illuminating fashion that telling us he was a good kid with an interest in Football would be pointless. This is the legacy of “Stone Cold” and at almost Nine Hours in length, we find out more about him than a biopic could ever dream to.

Steve Austin is a very calm, happily retired, funny and fascinating man and this set has come at a time when ‘The Rattlesnake’ is in a good personal place, the perfect time for him to tell his story. He’s not angry or bitter or petty, he’s just a cool guy telling you an awesome story and you will sit there enthralled for the entirety of it.

It would have been great to see more television appearances as some of the matches are so widely available, that a few rarer moments would have been a treat, but that may have broke up his narrative and that would be a shame.

So there it is; Pull up a chair and listen intently as perhaps the most popular Superstar in Wrestling History tells you a tale and fall in love with ‘Ol’ Stone Cold’ all over again.

The DVD quality is excellent, some old matches are, of course, in 4:3 but this is not too much of an issue. The interviews with Steve Austin are new, not recycled and the running time is impressive. It’s an amazing set.
